I am not a person who is versed in the arts but I am very intuitive about what I like and how I feel about certain things and about people. 
I am honoured to be the owner of two abstract paintings from Trevor Mellet and I absolutely love both of them. 
One (the larger one) hangs in my reception area at my office and the other (the smaller one) hangs on the wall beside my bed and it is the first thing I look at when I wake up in the morning. 
The paintings give me a sense of peace and make me feel happy, especially the one beside my bed.   I think what appeals to me are the use of colours and shapes, the sense of depth and dimensions and just everything about the paintings which seem to have a mesmerizing effect on me for whatever reason.   They fascinate me even though I don’t even know exactly what the paintings mean and I often see different things in the paintings at times and I am surprised to find details I had missed before or I change my mind about my interpretation of the details in the paintings. 
I know nothing about art and even less about abstract art but I was intrigued by Trevor’s paintings as they both “spoke” to me and I knew that I had to have them, not as material possessions but for my continued enjoyment.    
On a personal note, I recently suffered a major tragedy and these paintings have surprisingly had a therapeutic effect on me.   I don’t know why but they came to me at the right time in my life and I look on them with pleasure and wonder.
I am so grateful to have met Trevor and to be the recipient of such amazing works from such an amazing individual.
